Chris Christie made a dangerous and terrifying threat.

He crossed the line and is now completely out of control.

Now all hell is breaking loose after what Chris Christie promised would happen to Trump.

Chris Christie has virtually no support in the Republican primary. Not only is he far behind Trump in the polls – he isn’t even one of the top 3 alternatives to Trump.

No one is supporting him, and he has no reason to be in the race. But he still seems to think that by drawing attention to himself he can climb back into the upper tier of candidates.

He is doing that by saying some very nasty things about Trump and making some very questionable statements.

According to a recent Breitbart article, “Former Gov. Chris Christie (R-NJ), a candidate for the 2024 Republican presidential nomination, said Tuesday on CNN’s ‘The Situation Room’ that he believed former President Donald Trump will ‘face real jail time.’”

But that’s not just his neutral “assessment” of the situation. He has made clear elsewhere that he is actually rooting for this outcome. He wants his opponent in the primary to go to jail.

Another Breitbart article reports, “Former Gov. Chris Christie (R-NJ), a candidate for the 2024 Republican presidential nomination, said Sunday on CNN’s ‘State of the Union’ that he believed the Republican Party needed to ‘get rid’ of former President Donald Trump.”

Here’s what Christie had to say: “This is going to be a big problem for our party and we need to cut it off at the pass, get rid of Donald Trump and move on to honest, strong leadership that will tell the truth.”

The fact that Christie wants to use the legal system to “get rid of” someone who is running against him in an election goes against everything that our country stands for.

If he thinks he’s a better candidate than Trump, he should make his case to the voters and ask them to vote for him instead.

But he knows that the voters aren’t choosing him, so he’s going to plan B – having his opponent put in jail.

His grievances against Trump go on and on: “I wouldn’t count on anything from Donald Trump, except one thing you can always count on, he will lie to get himself ahead and he will always put himself first before any interest and certainly before our country and Israel.”

It’s clear that Christie has lost control and is just launching attacks wildly at a person that he knows he cannot beat at the ballot box.

In the process, he is making a fool of himself, whether he knows it or not. Going on CNN, a liberal network that hates Republicans, over and over again to bash on his own party is a bad look.

He may think he’s helping his campaign, but he’s actually burying it.
