One Democrat judge was taught a lesson the hard way by Donald Trump.
He thought he had the authority to tell Trump what to do.
But Trump flexed his muscles and showed him who’s really boss.
The witch hunt against Donald Trump isn’t going well, and he keeps putting the Democrats on their heels by racking up victory after victory.
Democrats thought they could use the legal system against him, pressing charges and using left-leaning prosecutors and judges to try to put him in jail before the election.
But what they keep forgetting is that Trump answers to nobody. No judge is going to tell Trump what to do, and if they try then the results are going to be unpleasant.
That is exactly what happened in Trump’s New York trial for alleged “civil fraud.” The Democrat judge attempted to prevent Trump from giving a closing argument in his case.
But instead of meekly obeying the judge, as Democrats thought he would, he put the judge in his place and told the courtroom exactly what the judge was doing – trying to launch a witch hunt to jail him.
According to the Associated Press, “Barred from giving a formal closing argument, Donald Trump wrested an opportunity to speak in court at the conclusion of his New York civil fraud trial Thursday, unleashing a barrage of attacks in a six-minute diatribe before being cut off by the judge.
“In an extraordinary move for any defendant, Trump not only sought to make his own summation but then brushed past a question from the judge about whether he would follow rules requiring him to keep his remarks focused on matters related to the trial.”
Here is what Trump had to say: “I am an innocent man. I’m being persecuted by someone running for office, and I think you have to go outside the bounds.”
Trump made it clear that the judge had no authority over him and was not going to tell him what to do, and he was going to say what he wanted in the courtroom no matter what the judge did.
The article continues, “Judge Arthur Engoron let him continue almost uninterrupted for what amounted to a brief personal summation, then cut him off for a scheduled lunch break.
“Trump’s in-court remarks, which were not televised, ensured a tumultuous final day for a trial over allegations that he habitually exaggerated his wealth on financial statements, deceiving a bank and insurance companies into giving him plum deals.”
Of course, the trial is completely bogus and Trump did nothing wrong. And even with that question aside, he is the leader of a movement of millions of Americans and should not be treated this way by the legal system.
Now Trump has turned the tables on the judge in this case and showed that he has no power to tell him what to do.
And Democrats are scrambling as they realize they might not be able to put Trump in jail like they thought they would.
