Republicans need to pick a new Speaker of the House. Some in the party are turning to one man. And Donald Trump left D.C. stunned with this announcement about being Speaker of the House. As American Patriot Daily reports: Conservatives rounded up the votes to remove McCarthy as speaker after McCarthy surrendered to Joe Biden’s demands to fund his socialist agenda in consecutive government funding fights. The continuing resolution McCarthy teamed with Democrats to pass funded the weaponized Department of Justice’s political persecutions of Donald Trump and did nothing to secure the border even though a record 260,000 illegal aliens attempted to enter the country in the month of September. Within hours of conservatives bouncing McCarthy, Sean Hannity reported that some Republicans settled on their preferred successor – Donald Trump. Hannity reported that Republicans reached out to Trump to measure his interest in taking the job. Trump reportedly didn’t outright reject the possibility. “Sources telling me at this hour some House Republicans have been in contact with and has started an effort to draft former President Donald Trump to be the next speaker, and I have been told that President Trump might be open to helping the Republican Party, at least in the short term, if necessary,” Hannity told viewers. Multiple Republican members of Congress went public with their support for the idea of Speaker Trump. Georgia Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene said Trump is the only candidate she could support, expressing her belief that Trump would put America First and end the war in Ukraine while securing the United States’ southern border. Texas Congressman Troy Nehls announced on social media that he planned to nominate Trump for speaker of the House. “Kevin McCarthy will NOT be running again as Speaker. I nominate Donald J. Trump for Speaker of the House,” Nehls posted. Trump addressed the speculation before the third day of his sham civil fraud trial in New York. The 45th president said he is completely focused on his re-election campaign – in which Trump noted he held a 50-point lead in the GOP primary polls – but if Republicans needed him to step up in a pinch for a short-term appointment he would be open to the idea. “A lot of people have asked me about it,” Trump declared. “I’m focused — You know, we’re leading. I’m sure you don’t read too much in the papers — we’re leading by, like, 50 points for president. You know, my focus is totally on that. If I can help them during the process, I would do it.” And just to drive Democrats and the media crazy Trump posted a picture of himself wearing one of his iconic red MAGA hats wielding the speaker’s gavel from the chair. The notion of a Speaker Donald Trump is highly unlikely to come to fruition. But the idea of Trump sitting behind Joe Biden – the man who weaponized the government into his own private police force to take Trump down – at the State of the Union would drive the left crazy.
