Joe Biden thought this scandal got swept under the rug.

And Joe Biden’s life got turned upside down by this indictment.

After a federal judge blew up Hunter Biden’s sweetheart plea deal in July because it handed him lifetime immunity from any criminal prosecution, the Biden Department of Justice had to play this case straight.

That led to special counsel David Weiss indicting Hunter Biden on nine charges – six misdemeanors and three felonies relating to Hunter Biden not paying his taxes.

Even still, Weiss tried to continue the Justice Department cover-up for Joe Biden by not indicting Hunter Biden on the charges relating to acting as an unregistered agent of a foreign government since that could implicate Joe Biden if the case went to trial.

Former federal prosecutor Andrew McCarthy wrote in the National Review that Weiss’s indictment danced around Joe Biden’s involvement in the alleged foreign influence peddling scheme.

“Joe Biden’s participation in these transactions is not mentioned in the indictment. But we know from various witness accounts and documents that he is here, there, and everywhere — as one would expect, given that it’s his political heft on which Hunter was cashing in,” McCarthy wrote.

“Nevertheless, if the schemes outlined in the tax charges were proved, it would be impossible to avoid evidence of Joe Biden’s participation, to say nothing of the centrality of his political influence to Hunter’s ability to rake in millions of dollars,” McCarthy continued.

Weiss included the bombshell detail in the indictment that the Ukrainian energy company Burisma cut Hunter Biden’s pay for serving on its board of directors in March 2017.

In March 2017, Donald Trump was president and Joe Biden was no longer vice president.

Hunter Biden was no longer as valuable to Burisma since he couldn’t lobby Joe Biden on the company’s behalf so management slashed his pay.

Republicans contend this is clear evidence that – at the very least – Burisma thought they stood to gain politically by paying the son of the vice president.

Investigators believe this shows Hunter Biden delivered on access to Vice President Joe Biden or else he wouldn’t have received a pay cut since if the arrangement was based on Hunter Biden’s qualifications Joe Biden leaving office shouldn’t have mattered.

This is the smoking gun that Republicans will use in their impeachment inquiry into Joe Biden’s corruption.
