The case is over, and Donald Trump has won.

He celebrated as the Democrats were resoundingly defeated.

And now his landmark victory may propel him to the White House.

The Democrat attempts to attack Trump and deny his voters the right, guaranteed to them in a democracy, to elect their own leaders has hit a major snag.

Democrats believed that the establishment would come together and do everything they could do to prevent Trump from winning in 2024.

But as it turns out, there are still a number of public officials who are willing to do the right thing and make fair decisions.

As a result, Democrat attempts to keep him off the ballot have almost unanimously failed, much to Joe Biden’s chagrin.

Their latest defeat came in the state of Illinois, where they surely thought they would win since the state is controlled by Democrats.

They took their complaint to the election board, hoping to get a favorable ruling that would keep Trump off the 2024 ballot.

But instead, the election board shot them down and ruled that Trump had just as much a right to be on the ballot as anyone else.

According to Breitbart, “Illinois’ election board announced Tuesday it is keeping former President Donald Trump on the state’s primary ballot.

“The confirmation comes a week before the U.S. Supreme Court hears arguments on whether the Republican’s alleged role in the Jan. 6, 2021, attack on the U.S. Capitol disqualifies him from the presidency.

“The attempt to keep Trump’s name off Illinois’ March 19 primary ballot by raising federal constitutional questions is similar to efforts in several other states.”

This has to be a major blow to the Biden campaign, as they were certainly banking on an easy 2024 election where Trump’s name wouldn’t appear on the ballot and they could win by default.

Now it is starting to look like they may actually have to compete with Trump directly, which many of Joe Biden’s advisors aren’t sure he is up for.

The article continues, “AP reports the eight-member board’s unanimous ruling comes after its hearing officer, a retired judge and Republican, found a ‘preponderance of the evidence’ shows Trump is ineligible to run for president because he violated a constitutional ban on those who ‘engaged in insurrection’ from holding office.

“But the hearing officer recommended the board let the courts make the ultimate decision.

“The board, composed of four Democrats and four Republicans, agreed with a recommendation from its lawyer to let Trump remain on the ballot by determining it didn’t have the authority to determine whether he violated the constitution, the AP report sets out.”

This is a unanimous defeat the Democrats almost certainly did not think was possible in a state like Illinois.

After all, Illinois is the state that propelled Barack Obama to national political power. It is a very left-wing state.

If Democrats can’t notch a victory in their war against Trump in a state like Illinois, it doesn’t bode well for their chances elsewhere.
